Spicenet Assistant — Discord Bot Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

Spicenet Assistant (“the bot”) is a private, read-only support and bug-triage bot operated by Spicenet for the official Spicenet Discord community server. This policy explains what data the bot accesses, why, and how it is handled.

What the bot accesses

When added to a server and granted the relevant permissions, the bot reads recent messages in the specific channels it is configured to monitor — support ticket channels and designated beta-testing and feedback channels. For those messages it accesses:

The bot does not access direct messages, voice data, or channels it has not been granted access to.

Why we access it

The bot exists to help Spicenet support its users during a private product beta. It detects and summarizes user-reported problems — bug reports, error messages, failed transactions, and scam reports — so the Spicenet team can triage and resolve them quickly.

How the data is used

Accessed messages are compiled into internal summaries (“digests”) used solely by the Spicenet engineering and operations team to identify and fix issues and respond to support requests. Message content is never used for advertising, profiling, sale to third parties, or training machine-learning models.

Storage and retention

The bot processes messages to produce internal triage summaries and retains data only as long as needed for that support purpose. Summaries are kept in Spicenet’s internal systems with access limited to the team. We do not sell or share this data with third parties, except service providers strictly necessary to operate the bot, or where required by law.

Your choices

Interaction

The bot is read-only: it does not post messages in public channels or send direct messages to users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
